Daily Anti-Inflammatory Elixir

Drinking this elixir first thing every morning will kick start your metabolism, gut and skin health!


This timeless Balinese recipe was shared by a beautiful Balinese friend. It is an amazing body tonic with numerous health benefits, including treating colds and flu, however particularly great for skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, eczema and dermatitis.


With its anti-inflammatory properties, the key ingredients have powerful skin health benefits, including natural antibiotic, strengthening immunity, improving wound repair and antioxidant, and are also known for their digestive and heart health benefits.


A natural anti-inflammatory elixir

Ingredients

  • 2 – 3cm Fresh Ginger

  • 2 – 3cm Fresh Turmeric

  • 1.5 litres Water

  • 2tbl Apple Cider Vinegar (with the Mother) or 1/2 Lemon, juiced

Method

  1. Peel Ginger and Turmeric, slice thinly

  2. Add water to a pot with Ginger and Turmeric, bringing it to a boil.

  3. Once boiling, lower the heat and simmer covered for 10mins.

  4. Add Apple Cider Vinegar or Lemon Juice, stirring.

  5. Enjoy 1 cup as a hot elixir tea or allow to cool, drinking it cold with ice.

  6. Once cooled, bottle with the Ginger and Turmeric remnants, store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Serves 5-6 cups.
